When Mama Rosie came to America from Sicily, she brought with her was her portete d’carne (meatball) recipe. When Freddy was only a little boy, he began helping Mama Rosie in the kitchen. He quickly learned how to use the best ingredients to make fabulous food, including these meatballs. Freddy continues to make his meatballs the way he learned so many years ago. He uses 100% Black Angus beef, no bread crumbs and only a handful of fresh ingredients. It’s the simplicity of the food that makes it so good!
